IRON CITY CUSTOM BEER CAN PROJECT
Iron City is a company from Pittsburgh, PA that themes all their can/bottle designs around Pittsburgh sports teams or other notable figures or landmarks from the area. The task was to create a series of three-can designs with digital renderings of both the cans and the package they would come in. I chose to focus on three players from the Pittsburgh Penguins who have become the longest-running Trio in all of the North American sports and who have also won three championships on the same team; allowing me to tie all the themes together around the number three.
IMAGINING COMMUNITY
A brand refresh of the Imagining Community event here at the Hub run by UD. My partner Quan Thai, helped with creating the texture while I did the housing illustrations after researching and driving around the Dayton area photographing unique housing architecture, and text compositions to our Client's liking. Creatine an identity for the specific event, servicing both digital and physical signs, posters, and other items for the community event housed in The Hub powered by PNC.

INFORMATIONAL POSTER SERIES
An informational poster series on Sharks in my Graphic Design 2 class in 2022. All graphics were created using Adobe Illustrator.
ADVERTISING DESIGN
1. Fastlane Heavy Duty Wipes, we were tasked with creating a brand surrounding a specific type of wipes, I chose heavy duty wipes which are specifically used for heavy messes such as grease and oil, both are commonly found messes in an auto garage, hence the branding decision themed around that specific targeted market. With the brand, we had to cover packaging, which I based on a retro, metal gasoline can. we also had to represent the product being used in its targeted environment, while also advertisements for both print and digital.
2. Another advertising project of a store display of candy we picked from a list of choices, I chose the Fun Dip's Maui Punch flavor to give a summery, fun vibe to represent through its display in retailers. On such a short time window to generate an idea and execute it, I reused my surfer asset from the shark posters above, surfing the dip stick over a wave of the sugar-filled packets Fun Dip is iconic for.
LOVELAND TIGERS BRAND REDESIGN
Redesign of the Loveland (Tigers) Youth Baseball Organization in which I redesigned their team from the ground up through a new logo, a new uniform, as well as other mockups such as signs and social media posts. My designs bring a “pro-level” feeling to the youth league team hence the motto I like to use: “Look good, play good”.
SIERRA LEONE'S POEM POSTER PROJECT
My collaboration with Dayton poet, Sierra Leone, on an interactive poster exhibit at The Hub Powered by PNC.

9/11 Memorial Words from the Water by Sierra Leone
Designed by Brandon Hines in Typography Two, Fall 2021. Typeset in families of Bodoni and Futura.
"I used two squares of blue watercolor to represent where the tower's memorial fountains stand from an overhead view. To emphasize the silence that surrounds the memorial as you enter I represented the space with darkness and powerful words I repeat over and over as this is the overwhelming experience you have while at the memorial." -Brandon Hines
